Remember this post from 2019? I had wrongly identified the picture of Robert Frank as a self-portrait. Today I learned that the photograph was actually taken by Barry Kornbluh, who kindly gave his permission for it to be kept up, with the credit set right of course. (We support photographers here.)
If you click to one post later, you can read or re-read that wonderful story of Jim Sherwood's about an astonishing coincidence. On a road trip, Jim and his wife Shirley True (an accomplished photographer herself) stopped to look around at the location of a famous Walker Evans photo...and encountered Robert Frank and his wife June Leaf sitting there quietly on a gravestone.
