These are awesome. (Translation into British: brilliant.) I am in a position to say: my ex Sara, who I admit I sometimes miss but don't tell her, got me a pair in 2015, and I wear them most every day. Now, in fact. After seven years they just recently got their first small tear. I might not have bought these for myself, on account of the price is above my purely arbitrary mental category for "slippers, cost," but they're more than worth it. They're well made and tough as nails, toasty warm, have rubber soles so you can wear them outside, will pass for shoes in the grocery store without drawing looks in case you leave the house absentmindedly without realizing you still have them on (I have done the research), and they wear like iron.
As the target demographic, I can say without fear of contradiction that these make for a fabulous gift for a guy. Although he might not realize it initially. Eventually he will. One of the top gifts I ever got. Warmly recommended, double entrendre intended.

David Dyer-Bennet: "I see what you mean about the price, though; that's pushing it for shoes for me. On the other hand, the slippers I got in 2020 are pretty worn out, and yours have lasted since 2015. Hmmm."
Hugh Conacher: "These are my favs. These wool slippers made by a Canadian company keep your feet toasty warm. I like the boots, which also care for your ankles. Mine are now five years old and don't really show any sign of wear. Available as shoes or boots, with or without rubber soles!"
Mike replies: Made me smile: as a young man I had some (original, Canadian-made) Sorel boots, the old kind, and the liners looked a lot like the material Mrs. Glerups makes her slippers out of. And I used to wear the liners of my boots around the farmhouse in Vermont, as slippers.
And downright Fugly... to boot!

Nothing like having a great pair of slippers! Thank you for the recommendation, Mike.
Recently my hairdresser complimented me on my shoes. She was surprised when I said they were my bedroom slippers. 😁

Agreed these are nice slippers. Had a pair last for five or so years. Sold out now, and for a number of years, even from Ugg. Had to get something different the last time.

Ugg is an Australian company. They have made sheepskin footwear for decades. Their name was appropriated by an American company and American courts didn't protect the subsequent legal action from Australia. On principle, I wouldn't buy anything from Ugg or UGG unless it is from the original Australian company.

As UGG vendors spammed my blog for years, I have vowed to never buy *any* of their products.
But the slippers look appealing. Might get a pair from just another brand.

It's actually worse than this. Ugg is a generic Australian term for footwear made from sheepskin. Just known as ugg boots and many Australian firms made and sold them. Until Deckers, a US company, licenced the name, and began sueing the pants off anyone, world wide, who dared continue using the term. And you wonder why the yankee has a bad name in some parts. https://9now.nine.com.au/a-current-affair/aussie-ugg-boot-maker-eddie-oygur-facing-bankruptcy-after-us-trademark-battle-loss/
