To test whether pictures are working again, two shots from the "note-taking" camera—
This one made me laugh. [UPDATE post-publication: You'll have to click on this to see the whole image. We're working on it.] "PY" stands for Penn Yan, the little "hamlet" where I live. You gotta understand, Penn Yan had 5,056 people at the last census—and that was down 103 souls from 2010. There probably aren't four places in Penn Yan that serve chili!
The diner's chili can't be that bad. It must be at least second or third best.
This one I took out walking the dog last night. No, night before last. Maybe holding a camera with a dog randomly tugging at your hand ought to be considered a photographic skill. I'm surprised I've never dropped the phone, knock on wood.
Let's see if these work and I'll show you two more.
[UPDATE: Well, it kinda worked. The images are too large and only showing you the left half of each. You'll see the whole image if you click on it. I can't get it to resize, although I'm talking to Typepad about this and they're troubleshooting. We'll keep plugging and see if we can't get this resolved.]
Mike
Mike,
Did the PY diner put that sign in the window when they saw you? :>)
That is a pretty funny sign out front.
I'm used to opening photos in a different tab, then enlarging them. The auto-crop doesn't bother me that much.

Maybe there are three better chili cooks in private homes, not restaurants.
A coworker and his siblings wanted to take Mama out for dinner on her birthday. She was a southern lady with a big family, probably in her nineties. She said "NO. I can cook better than that." And she was right, no matter where they wanted to go.
