Ohio USA: I have a pool table for sale in Ohio. It's a Golden West "Vintage" model in 8 foot pro size, in very clean condition. The distinctive feature of the table is its stunning woodwork, in oak with medium stain.
This model, the Vintage, is currently available new from Golden West for $6,250. I'm asking $1,925, which is less than I have into it. (This is just the TOP price. I will put it on eBay and Facebook Marketplace tomorrow for more. Figured I'd offer it here first, just on the off chance someone here might want it. These are gorgeous.)
Golden West is the most resolutely American of the made-in-America manufacturers, not accepting any components or materials from outside the U.S. (They feel it would be a slippery slope.)
I'm forced to turn around and re-sell this because I can't figure out a way to get it here from Ohio in the time of COVID! The arrangements I made fell through. I've thought of all kinds of schemes but nothing is affordable. Meanwhile, I found another table (completely different kind) only 2 1/2 miles down the road from me. That one will be easier to fetch!
This one will be easy for its purchaser, too. It's currently in temperature-controlled storage with a professional pool table mechanic in Columbus. All you would have to do is arrange with him to deliver and set up the table for you at your convenience. His territory is all of Ohio but he can deliver it anywhere. He can also give you detailed information about condition, because he took it apart.
These are the PREVIOUS SELLER's pictures, not mine! But they are of the actual pool table for sale.
I believe the rails are hickory, because hickory is harder than oak, which is a beautiful touch. This model was popular in the '80s with Lakers basketball stars and film people in L.A.
If you are interested, please contact me at mcjohnston.com for information. If you think you know someone else in Ohio who might be interested, please pass the news along! Thanks.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays,
Mike

Malcolm Leader: "A friend of mine has that table. It is awesome and at that price plus ~$1,000 delivery is a steal. You can set up yourself—it is not hard. Many videos. I use (thin) cardboard for the foot shim material. Borrow a machinist level but frankly, a cheap hardware-store level (get 4') is more than adequate. You'll fine tune by bouncing balls down table and observing the straightness of their path. Time consuming, maybe. Worth it? Yes!"
Very strange to read this while sitting in Cleveland (traveling, for good enough reasons, not exposing myself to other people). But I'm not staying here, and the place I am doesn't have space for a pool table if I were. And I might not want it enough to jump on it if it were possible either. But still, amusing to be sitting that close to your pool table!

Consider a nationwide piano mover. They have climate controlled trailers, tons of padding, plus the proper equipment for heavy objects. And they are very careful. Several years ago, a neighbor had them move a bull statute bigger than a small car, across the country.
