It's kinda funny that I've become a WFPB eater. Growing up I never liked vegetables. I even disliked fruit (too tart). But eat any food for 30 days and you'll adjust; give your body what it needs and that will be what you crave. I've been on my current diet (all plants, time-restricted eating) since last December 19th, and I've enjoyed food this year like never before in my life—even though I'm eating things I avoided all my life long, everything from brussels sprouts to sauerkraut.
And it's funny that I've joined the throng and sometimes take quick snaps of food, too. Foody plants (planty food?) seem like good subjects for the quick visual note-taking of iPhoneography. They're just suited for each other.
When I ran across these at the Mennonite Farm market down the road, my mouth started to water. Looks like it deserves a nursery rhyme, doesn't it? Peter Piper picked a peck of purple peppers....
Here's the purple pepper's fate. I put the additives into the bowl first while the greens wash. A tripartite tip for newbie plant-eaters: you can hide almost anything in 1.) soups, 2.) salads, or 3.) smoothies. Those are my go-tos. If you don't like something, just chop it small and use less. This salad-to-be features pickled ginger, pickled beets, some onion, half an avocado, a handful of three-color canned beans, dried cranberries, and some of that purple pepper. Still to come are grated turmeric root, pepper, freeze-dried salad spices, six kinds of lettuce (bagged, don't think I'm that dedicated), and two tablespoons of dressing. You can get creative with any soup or salad or smoothie, and I'm embarrassed to say how many times I feel the resulting mad-scientist-slash-cook concoctions deserve to be "captured."
But it's one thing phones are for. Heck, I even did a selfie the other day. Who says I'm not hip?

That dog looks tasty!
(Only kidding - I'm trying to save the planet alongside my health as well)

If you were a photographer instead of a writer you would say that the pepper deserves a funnel.

"picktidious"
For when you just want to see Google go ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Did you mean:
pictorious
picticious
fictitious
fastidious
And one link. To YOUR article. Well done sir. I tips me hat.
I immediately search for words I've never seen before. So searched prior to reading your explanation that followed your new word. I might start a social media campaign to have it added to the dictionary as one of the words of the year. And that kit lens that came with your camera - it's a gem. A weather sealed gem with character. Who knew?
