The day the proof prints for print sales arrive at the house are kind of red-letter days for me. I always find these days exciting and memorable.
I still don't have a firm start date for the Chester Williams print sale, but it's coming together fast and I'll alert you to the date soon. The print will be 8x12".
I did just see the proof prints for the first time (on three different papers—now I have to choose!). There's a somewhat unexpected bonus: the pareidolia is the point of the picture—as you can understand from the title "The Goodbye Kiss"—but, as printed by Mike and Janine Zaikowski of Profiles in Philadelphia, it also turns out to be a very lovely color photograph. It's got all sorts of subtle, shimmery reds and greens in it. The colors are lovely. I guess that's fitting, since Chester submitted to the "It Must Be Color" Baker's Dozen. I didn't get that at the time because I hadn't seen it at the proper size.
Or on paper. I like it much better as a print.
More news soon.
Mike

“pareidolia“
I learned a new word today!
Now I have to figure out how to use it in a sentence in the next 24 hours or it will forever be lost...

Excellent news. I did email you directly recently, despite the dire warnings that responses were unlikely, to see whether this sale was still likely to happen. No reply, as per guidance :-) but now two teasers in short succession.
8 x 12; It's not filling the slot Mrs S had mapped out, but we have plenty of other places to show this off.
PS: with FM, great word. I will shoehorn this into conversation this week or die trying.
