Heh. This was just for fun. I belong to an online music discussion group, and one of the members just posted a new mix called "Perpetuum Mobile," and one of the group, Scott Ettin, responded a photo of his cup of morning coffee with the message "digging this over my morning cup." Another member of the group then responded with a photo of his morning cup. So I took a picture of mine...and then decided it needed, um, a little something extra.
Both shots were taken with the iPhone 7+, the one of the coffee cup in "Portrait" mode with fake software-generated bokeh. I don't normally make any Photoshop creations except when I'm just fooling around. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
I'm currently getting my coffee roasted to order by Stone Creek Coffee in Milwaukee, brewing it very simply. A few months ago I cut down from two 14-ounce mugs per morning to one.
A very nice guest post from Henning Wulff coming up as soon as I get it prepped.
Mike

Mike replies:
No app—as I said, it was just me combining these two hasty phone snaps in Photoshop—bad Photoshop, by definition, since I hardly ever do this sort of thing.
Mike,
That would be too much of a shock for me in the morning- seeing my face at the bottom of a mug of coffee. On the other hand it would wake me up- rudely. Fun little PS project though.

'A few months ago I cut down from two 14-ounce mugs per morning to one.' Right, and in doing so you upped your longest workable hand-held shutterspeed from 1/125 to 1/60!

Mike, you’re looking very Neil Youngish in the Coffee pic.

I'm not sure why, but for some reason that reminds me of Georges Méliès' Man in the Moon...
