Reader Steven Healy found this nice video of St. Louis Post-Dispatch photographer David Carson explaining his process as he figured out how to take his picture of the Supermoon (technically the perigee-syzygy of the Earth/Moon/Sun system) with the Gateway Arch and how he went about it. (Note that as with many famous photographs, he wasn't the only guy there getting the shot.)
