Longtime reader David Raboin passed by TOP Rural HQ the other day. Unfortunately he couldn't stop in to say hello—he's an airline pilot, and recognized Keuka Lake (on the right) from the cockpit. The larger, closer lake is Seneca.
Okay, the word is a horrible portmanteau, but its meaning is coming to be widely understood—a mishmash (Yiddish again! From mish-mosh) of "stay" and "vacation," meaning time off when you don't go anywhere.
My bro is coming to visit, bringing his wife and daughter, and Spring is springing, so I'm going on "staycation" for the remainder of this week.
One exception: I will be providing updates about Ctein's peregrinations to London and Paris, and announcements about meetups in those cities. Arrangements are underway but still fluid. So if you're interested, do stay tuned. (I will put the info on Twitter as well [I feel like a twit writing "I will Tweet"].)
I hope to complete my acquaintance with the Panasonic GX8, which I think is quite possibly the nicest design of any Micro 4/3 camera I've tried yet, perhaps tied with the OM-D E-M1, another favorite.
TOP shall return on Sunday. See you then! (There are a lot of new comments yet to be posted, so the recent conversations aren't quite over yet.)
Mike

Without spilling any beans, may I just say I think I love Panasonic lenses?
