By popular demand, Ctein and I are working to put together a quick print sale of this picture I took the other day that people liked.
The sale, if it happens, will be up for three days only, Mon.–Wed. next week. [See update below —MJ.]
Price will be $170 with $50 off for the unsigned version.
This is dependent on getting a good print! So this is not a promise. He's working on the files now and will overnight proofs to me tomorrow. Just wanted to give some advance notice in case we go ahead with it.
Oh, and a promise: International buyers welcome, no penalty. :-)
Mike
[UPDATE Sat. 2/20, 8:45 p.m.: Unfortunately the proofs didn't make it here on Saturday, so the print sale will be delayed by a few days. We will keep you posted. —MJ]

So how much ya willing to pay me to clone in more chairs?
'Cause I could do that... for a price.

Eric, for fifty bucks you'd be lucky to get a seat on the bus all the way to California and back ...

Print size?

But it's a landscape (sort of)!

Dear Chester,
Mike and I are going to settle that after he sees (and likes!) prints. It'll be “midsized.” That is, a paper size somewhere between 11 x 14 and 12 x 17 inches.

Ctein my comment was more to the point that it would be a beautiful place to share with someone. Hence the need for two chairs.
[I have four chairs, and they sort of migrate around the property as needed. They're retired for the season anyway, awaiting warmer weather. --Mike]

Has Ctein ever published a book on how he makes prints?
[I'll leave this for him to answer...that book would sell, though, I'll bet, if it were marketed right. --Mike]

If that book got kickstarted or some such, it might be the first time I donated ahead...

Thanks, Ctein....

Dear Dave & Marshall,
I've considered it. Been considering it ever since POST EXPOSURE went out of print. The problem is that I don't have a narrative flow for the book. It's just a mishmash of information in my head. It hasn't gelled into a coherent narrative. Heck, I don't even know if it would be a standalone book or an expansion of POST EXPOSURE (there are arguments both ways).Absent such a structure, the book can't happen.
But if it did happen, it would be self-published as an e-book/PoD and I would bankroll it via kickstarter, since I wouldn't be getting a publisher's advance.
I'm quite certain I would sell enough copies to make it worth my while, if I could only figure out what the book would be. At this point I'm not getting my hopes up.
