Last note of this hypomanic posting day—there is a pretty good possibility that I could do a TOP meetup in Ithaca, New York next week, possibly Wednesday if I can borrow a car and possibly Friday or Saturday if I can't. I'm not sure of this yet and I don't have anything planned firmly, but just in case anyone in that area might be interested I wanted to give an alert in advance. We'd try to find an amenable restaurant or similar gathering place. If anyone in Ithaca would be willing to help prepare the ground, please contact me privately (leaving a comment is fine, just mark it "private" or "not for posting").
If it happens, I'd love to look at some portfolios of personal work, but of course any TOP reader would be more than welcome to attend regardless.
I'll keep you apprised.
Mike

Mike, I might be able to take you shooting. AR or shotgun?
[You bring your AR, and I'll shoot you with my Fuji. --Mike]

Then again, you could rent a car in Ithaca...and panhandle for gas money.

There is an exceptional show, ZERO: Countdown to Tomorrow, 1950s-1960s at the Guggenheim. If you are interested in post-war European avant-garde art, you'll find the show engaging. My graduate school adviser at MIT, Otto Piene, was one of the founders of Group Zero.
