...Of my fifteen minutes of fame.
Advanced Photographer magazine has included TOP in its September issue as one of "This Month's Must-Visit Websites." Here's what they said:
Our thanks to the editors. The September issue of Advanced Photographer includes reviews of the Olympus E-P3 and Canon 85mm ƒ/1.2 lens, and an article about grids for on-camera flash units. You download the issue digitally as well.
Mike

Congratulations! You deserve it :)

No pressure, but now everyone expects at least 2.5 posts per day. =D

Congratulations! TOP is an inspiraton for aspiring bloggers like me.

Richly deserved. It's remarkable that you can sustain high-quality output while posting so often.

An unfortunate misquote--clearly you said you cover Top Gear, technical issues, &c.
;)

Not to burst any bubbles, but considering how few shops seem to stock this magazine (I can rarely find a copy anyway) you might not see that jump in viewers you're hoping for... ;)
That said, I'll try and find a copy this evening...

I wonder what those numbers would look like if each comment was counted as a post.

"I wonder what those numbers would look like if each comment was counted as a post."
Paul,
So far there have been 82,729 posted comments since June 2007, but that doesn't count the "Featured" comments, as those don't get posted in the Comments Section. It also doesn't count the Comments in the old Blogger site, which was active from the fall of 2005 to June '07.

I think it's Advanced Photographer's ten seconds of fame, because I never heard of that publication (not available in Canada AFAIK).
On the other hand, I know TOP very well. It's nice that you should help the smaller guy, Mike.

Congratulations TOP. Yes, its the #1 photography site for me everyday.

TOP is the best photography web site in the world. The magazine was right to feature it.

Whoa, thanks Tom! That's extravagant.

After letting a couple of mediocre magazine subscriptions expire and getting thoroughly bored with the gearhead sites, TOP is just about my only source for all things photographic.
Posted by: Andre | Tuesday, 06 September 2011 at 05:41 PM
TOP is better than any photo magazine. Advanced Photographer should be excited that you posted a link back to them.

I honestly don't know of a better photography website in the world than TOP. I refer to the quality of writing, the choice of topics and the sheer number of postings. I don't know how you keep it up. There are other sites I visit but TOP is number one.

The consistent intelligent level of the dialogue on TOP surpasses anything else out there.
Thanks for doing what you do.

Wow, you guys are really being nice to me today. Thanks to all.

+1 Same here and it's really easy to set up a Paypal subscription to TOP.

I have to chime in.
This is THE NUMBER ONE photo website. No contest.
And let me tell you why.
Because Mike actually knows how to write. Even though we never met I feel like Mike is a good friend that I can chat with about all aspects of my favorite hobby, photography.
It is the sign of a true professional writer that can be this friendly to so many of us.
Keep it up Mike!
Like someone said, Advanced Photographer should be happy you linked to them.

"Advance Photographer" has got it utterly wrong.
"This Month's Must-Visit Website"?
They must be mad.
TOP is a DAILY Must-Visit Website, thank you very much.
