Amazon's one-day "Gold Box Special" this morning is Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2 for for $188.99.
It's a bit difficult to figure out how much of a deal this actually is, though. Lightroom 3 is now in public beta, and if the prices for 3 stay the same as they were for 2 then the "savings" are a wash; adding the upgrade price to today's sale price won't save you anything over buying 3 when it ships. If 3 is going to incorporate a price rise, though, then this might be a good deal. In any event it splits up the cost into less painful chunks if money's an issue. Up to you; I'm just passing the news along.

Is there a shipping date for Lightroom 3? If it's another 6 months, that's a reason for buying Lightroom 2 today.

Surely the deal of the day has to be this new Leica - a gold plated MP limited edition to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the People's Republic of China!
A mere snip at $29,300!!
Possibly the most tasteless thing I've seen, in so many ways!
