I hope Ken doesn't mind us pointing this out, but it is pretty funny....
(Thanks to Michael Nesbitt)
Featured Comment by Stephen Gillette: "A cautionary tale for all of us husbands to ponder. The '92 Subaru Justy comment really scares me. I think my wife would aim higher, but then again...."
UPDATE: The link is gone now. It was trivial—a Craig's List ad ostensibly by a woman from North York, near Toronto, wanting to trade in her "slightly defective" husband because he is obsessed with reading Ken Rockwell's website and wastes money buying all the latest cameras. One of the things she listed that she would take in trade for him was a '92 Subaru Justy. —Ed.
Now that is funny but what wife looking to get rid of such a husband would know all that jargon?

Ken Rockwell (to his credit) has already pointed this out. Any man who can smile at his own expense gets my vote.

Hilarious! How did you find it?

Heh...one would think this would be a regular thing. I am always amazed at the number of gear heads out there in the wild....

LOL... That's hillarious! Thanks for posting. I do have to say that after I had a good laugh, I did have a fleeting twinge of guilt and about my own level of obsession, courtesy of my conscience.
I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one here whose conscience "cleared their throat," so to speak...

I wonder what she'd take in trade? Reichmann?

Not only is it funny i am glad somebody did this. I regularly read his website and always find myself shaking my head because he uses his opinion as fact. There are many more versions of professional photography then landscape photography.

Why on Earth would this woman want to get rid of her husband? After all, she'll never have to worry about him "hiking the Appalachian Trail."

Has she been talking to my wife?

This is why I never married. Women seem to have this common psychosis that they should be more important than a Nikon or a chance at a good shot.

Eolake, you made me laugh. All the more so because I suspect you might be serious! :-D

Well, I suppose that even Jim Jones had followers ....
But I'm still waiting for the fakekenrockwell.com site. Unfortunately, nobody has purchased the URL yet.
Yet.
