I'm having my annual "cabinet sale" on eBay, cleaning out some of the treasures from the back of the shelves. This year, some items I've held on to for years are up on the auction block—including a sterling silver Leica! I'm not kidding, although it's probably not what you might expect.
Check out the auctions here, or by searching my eBay handle, txind76121. I'll be adding new items over the next several days, including a number of books, some of them fairly rare or hard to find, so check back again between now and the end of the year.
I'll bet David Goldfarb knows what the above is, although I'm guessing not a lot of other readers do!

*No, I am not selling a cabinet!! I'm selling things from the cabinet. I'd call it a closet, but it actually is a cabinet....
I'm only guessing here, but is that a camera specially made for wearing inside the shirt or jacket with the lens peeking out.

Some type of Iconta spy camera. Just guessing, as you rotate the back it take the next photo.

Mike, I think the caption gives it away. It says extinction, so I guess it might be some kind of light meter.

I'm guessing a buttonhole camera of some sort...

Sorry I peeked at your ebay listing and saw what that thing is... was going to blurt it out here but thought I better keep the suspense. When I saw the title I thought you were selling a cabinet not the stuff inside. Not sure why you listed them now. The best time of year on ebay was a while ago when everyone was looking for xmas gifts. This week is typically pretty slow but I guess you'll have plenty of viewers from here anyway.

Chris,
I got inspired because of Micah's post the other day about the F30. I had assumed (morosely) that the value of my (unused) F30 had withered away to near-nothing, and I was delighted to learn that I might be able to fetch a decent price for it yet. That intelligence inspired me to dig around for the Fuji and get it listed, and once I get started listing things on eBay, it seems to be easier to keep on going than it is to stop....
As far as this time of year being slow, no matter. What someone wants, they can buy; what no one wants, goes back in the cabinet for another few years. Same as it ever was.

I did know what it was, and I've read about how it works, but it's not as if I've ever used one!

There's a dust spot on you photo, on the extreme right, about midway vertically.
Merry Xmas!

Is the dog that ate the M6 Leica sterling silver pouch the same dog that was responsible for eating your homework?

Claire,
Actually, I wish it were not so, but I'm being perfectly honest. The dog (Lulu, who has featured a time or two in T.O.P. posts) is attracted to leather objects and, before she got the idea they are a no-no, devoured a few of them. The pouch was about two inches in width, gray suede, with "Leica" in red lettering on it, and it had the nice aroma of real leather, and I'm afraid it made only a brief snack. And gone forever. Lulu has very healthy teeth.

Speaking of selling, I may want to place in a new home my photo books library. What chance is there for you to start a FS page?

Be sure to add the keyword "charm" to the listing if it isn't already.
