Our friend Alain Briot at Beaux Arts Photography has released a brand-new seminar on DVD and CD, this one centered on a subject many photographers are in need of information about and that Alain knows well (he is one of the scant handful of photographers in America who makes a living selling prints): it's called the Marketing Mastery Workshop on DVD. And in a nice gesture to T.O.P. readers, Alain is offering the first 40 buyers from T.O.P. a substantial discount. Check out the details at the link.

Ummm, $1000!!!? I'd say he was making a living on a lot more than just photography. I'm certain he has put in a lot of time and effort on this and there must be people who think this is a bargain, but...a thousand bucks? Ya gotta be kidding.

The standard fare to for a seminar on a daily basis is from $300-$$500 per day and a day normally means about 5 hours of useful, or should I say presented, material, at least in the IT industry. Some courses were in the $1,000 per day range.
These courses or presented on a circuit around the country and are written, a lot of times, by people like you and me.
These for me did not come close to the level of quality I received at university.
So if this DVD provides you with 9 hours on instructional time then it is in the normal range for professional business material.
Buying a DVD like this is a business decision unless you have lots of extra money, and for some it may pay off with future income.
