The picture is titled Buba Subacuática (Buba Underwater) and it was taken by Albano Garcia. Click on the image to see a somewhat larger version. It seems to me like a cross between classic underwater swimmer pictures by Cartier-Bresson or Kertész and a Picasso...
André Kertész, Underwater Swimmer, Esztergom, 1917
...But if I may be so bold, I like it better. You can see more of Albano's work at his website, called Flaneur.

Now the link is functioning for me. I believe that the website provides many fine photos. Of the bunch Mr Johnson was able to quickly find the one that I like the least.

"I prefer the Picasso."
If we let you have it, promise you won't put your elbow through it?

I think the image is very creative and visually compelling.
There is a "reclining nude" painting, perhaps cubist but certainly at least abstract, that it most strongly resembles. But I cannot put my finger on its artist.

I know this post is old... But I just wanted to add a note in case anyone views it. There is a link on here to Barbara Tyroler's page. Her water work is amazing and was recently featured in FotoWeek DC. Definitely, check out her most recent images (www.btyroler.com), if you get a chance.
