After the next three days, it's quite possible that no one will ever again have a chance to buy a dye transfer print for a price this low...I mean anyone, ever, in the history of photography!

*Sigh* Story of my life...last time to acquire something like this at this pricepoint, and my underemployment just isn't going to allow me to get in on this.

Ctein, will you take a kidney in trade? ;-)

Hi,

I just got mine hours ago. All I can say is "wonderful". Buy one, you won't regret it.

Chris

Dear Chris,

Not at the moment, but if I ever need a transplant, I'll keep your offer (binding, of course?) in mind.

I was kind of hoping that my print would just show up randomly one day, but I suppose I'll have to wait until I get an email. Sigh...

I broke down and bought a Sealing Wax Palm print. Can't wait to see it in person. I've only ever seen dye transfer prints in museums and galleries.

Mike, why did you think "Sealing Wax Palm" would be the most popular? (I ordered "Tortoise Shell Pahoehoe..." when all 3 were still available.)

"Mike, why did you think "Sealing Wax Palm" would be the most popular?"

Because I'm bad at predicting which pictures will be popular?

I dunno....

Chris, I came this close *pinches* to writing a similar comment yesterday. In my case, all my spare cash and time are going towards my Photo II class. B&W print paper goes fast when you screw up as often as I do...

Then I realized this is just the sort of opportunity for which credit cards were invented! Buy the responsible costs (college lab materials) on credit and send a portion of my checking account to Ctein! Problem solved. :)

I'll be sure to look at my "Sealing Wax Palm" right before experiencing the pain of compound interest payments.

Dear David,

That can be arranged...

Thank you very much, Ctein and Mike for having another affordable print sale! An hour ago I ordered the Pahoehoe and ferns print.

A few years ago a small gallery here in Toronto went out of business. It used to be called Turquoise. It specialized in exhibiting and selling dye transfer prints. The one time we visited it they had a couple of portraits of Frieda Kahlo, a number of very large prints of horses by one photographer and of scenes of Paris by another.

Needless to say in this company, the experience of looking at dye transfer prints of quality photographs is a revelation.

(Still lusting after a particular larger format print in Ctein's catalog.)

I just received my "Tortoise-shell Pahoehoe and Ferns" print, and it certainly doesn't disappoint! Now I'm halfway regretting not having ordered all 3 when I had the chance....

Thanks to Ctein and Mike for having provided this opportunity!
