I shot with a Nikon D4 tonight. It blows away everything that D3 delivers, and is head and shoulders beyond anything anyone has ever seen in digital camera.
Sorry, I can't post samples. You'll just have to take my word for it. Or I'll sue.

I hope that the D3 is all its meant to be and more because it bodes well for the future direction of development of new cameras. Lets not have more Mp, lets have better quality Mp. Nikon could have easily just crammed in more pixels in an attempt to attract more buyers and that would mean the Mp race continues.

Hey, it's what I'm buying instead of an M8!

I wouldn't guess there is an incentive for Ed to speak too highly of Nikon (think sponsorship). If things are real as described, I am very impressed by Nikon's advancement in the noise compartment at high ISOs.
Now of course existing cameras are capable of delivering clean images at ISO1600+ ranges. I am not sure if this is too much of a factor.

Interesting. I have been a suffering Pentax user during the digital transformation. I cannot switch to Canon (I think the "Image is everything", implication: substance is nothing.) ads had a permanent negative impact. Nikon. I could go with Nikon.
